Facial care gone green and a “natural” confidence – BioClarity offers a three-step cleansing process to clearer, acne-free skin.
One thing you should know about me is I am an eco-friendly and green-living nut. Wade and I pride ourselves on being tip-top recycling pros. We make sure not to waste electricty and water when possible. I buy organic fruits and veggies when they’re a good deal (because, let’s be honest, that sh*t is expensive). And I have been trying to move towards using more “green” products for my skin and daily care regiments.
Though I used to have many problems with acne it has mostly cleared up since I entered college. Now I get the occasional bad skin week but for the most part I don’t worry about it. Partly because of that, I hardly ever wear makeup too. Especially during the weekdays when I go to work. My coworkers see the most exposed Kaylin (minus being naked of course) on a daily basis because 1. I don’t feel like taking the time to put on makeup and 2. My skin is pretty damn great as it is and I’m going to take advantage of that.
But my fiance, Wade, has and is still suffering with pretty bad acne. BioClarity uses this pretty nifty Restore Gel as a part of their three-step system that unleashes the power of nature through the patented ingredient Floralux, a naturally derived compound made from Chloryphyll (the green stuff in plants). With the “green” and natural way BioClarity helps your facial skin, Wade was on board for giving it a try. Oh, and if you’re interested in trying out BioClarity for yourself stay tuned for a giveaway below.
I wanted Wade to describe his experience and give his thoughts in his own words so for the first time ever he is a special guest on Enticing Healthy Eating. Take it away, honey!
Wade’s Experience with BioClarity
Full disclosure: In lots of ways I‘m a typical guy. By that I mean that most of the time I don’t watch what I eat (I LOVE junk food), I love to spend my Saturdays and Sundays watching football and rooting for my team (even with all the stress that can bring), and maybe not so typically, I touch my face all the time. I’ve had trouble with this for as long as I can remember and I know that when combined with my naturally oily skin I will have problems with acne. Oh yeah, one more thing…I’m also extremely pessimistic most of the time. So, when I first heard that I was going to get to try this product my first thought was “I’ll try it, but it probably won’t work”.
On the first night of our receiving BioClarity I pulled out the bottles that are used in each stage of the washing process. I first applied the cleanser which you use just like any other facial scrub and does not have much of a smell unlike some others I have used. After washing and drying my face I used step two which is the facial treatment. This is a spot treatment that you apply to your trouble areas. Once I was finished dabbing every zit and pimple I could find I applied the third step in the process which is the restore gel. This is the most interesting part to me. It really is green like chlorophyll, but it does not stain your face that color and it has a refreshing scent. The washing process left my face feeling a little dry, but two squirts of the gel applied to my face made it feel nourished again. You really do only need two squirts – a little of this stuff goes a long way. After all this was done I went to bed hopeful, but still unsure that anything would actually change for me.
The next morning I woke up and went straight to the bathroom mirror and when I got there I was actually shocked. For the first time in quite a while my face was 95% clear. I don’t remember exactly what we did that day, but I do remember feeling great and being thankful that my face was clear. After that I continued to use the three stages of BioClarity two times a day each day for the next month and I generally had good results. Now, like I mentioned earlier there are lots of times when I don’t eat correctly or that I touch my face when I’m nervous so there were obviously some hiccups along the way. I didn’t wake up every morning with the skin of a supermodel, but for the most part there was a big improvement in the way my skin looked. One negative thing that I did notice was that there was a tendency for me to get acne under my skin slightly more often. I’m not ready to put the blame for that on BioClarity though since that could just as easily be my fault for being bad, haha.
After Using BioClarity 1 Month
Overall I think this is a pretty great product and it does what it claims to do. Put bluntly, I would use this again even if I had to pay for it.
Here are my pros and cons of BioClarity:
Pros – It works for me, it is a simple and easy process, and it’s a good value for the money – not only do you get a lot of product (after using every step two times a day I still probably have enough for another ½ month.), but I have also used systems that cost more than this and did not work as well or last as long.
Cons – Slight skin dryness from time to time, slight increase in under skin acne (for me anyway)
